<p>By exhibiting of Károly Ferenczy's works the Hungarian National Gallery continues its series of grand shows that present the process during which modern Hungarian art came to existance. Károly Ferenczy's name is generally associated with the Nagybánya colony (from)1896), his oeuvre became the synonym of the Nagybánya school. By establishing the Hungarian interpretation of impressionism and post-impressionism, as a prominent artist of the colony, he became the founder of modern Hungarian art.</p>
